Alligator, Mississippi – Significant progress has been made in the ongoing investigation of the alligator homicide case. The victim has now been identified as 71-year-old Willie C. Christian, a resident of Marks, Mississippi.
As previously reported, on June 7, 2023, the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing 911 call alerting them to a lifeless body submerged in the water below the Alligator-Rena Laura Road bridge in Alligator, Mississippi. Deputies promptly responded to the scene and discovered the body of an African American male in his late fifties to early sixties, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
