ENID, Miss.–Ewel “Bubba” Scott has been captured. According to a news release from the Panola County Sheriff’s Dept. he was captured Thursday morning and was found with some of the stolen property he was reported to have taken.
Panola County Sheriff Shane Phelps got a tip that Scott may have been hiding in an empty house in the Enid area. When he went to investigate he spotted Scott not far from the house.
The sheriff chased him down and deputies helped put the cuffs on.
Scott, a career crook with a record of escape and theft, was wanted for stealing ATVs and guns and was able to get away from deputies Monday evening.
