OLIVE BRANCH, Miss.–A wanted person was shot and killed by police with the Olive Branch SWAT Team Monday morning.
The incident was on Railroad Ave., near Goodman Rd. and Old Hwy. 78, just before 10 a.m.
The incident happened when the team was trying to serve an arrest warrant on that person, who was not identified Monday afternoon. Mayor Ken Adams said in a news release that the suspect shot at police, who shot back, killing the person.
Adams said the person was wanted for possession of child pornography, and had recently moved to Olive Branch from out of state.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation now has the case.
