Warm Weather Doesn’t Slow COVID Spread In MS

Today MSDH is reporting an additional 4,885 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 11 deaths. These deaths occurred between December 21 and December 29. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 543,737, with 10,450 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified nine additional COVID-19 cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and no deaths. There are currently 163 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
