Rosedale, MS – The West Bolivar Consolidated School District is stepping up to ensure that children in the community have access to nutritious meals during the summer break. From June 5th to June 22nd, 2023, the district’s Child Nutrition program will provide free meals for kids aged 18 and under, Monday through Thursday.
Breakfast will be served between 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., followed by lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Children residing in Rosedale, Mississippi, can enjoy these meals at the WBHS Cafeteria, while those in Shaw, Mississippi, can access them at the McEvans Cafeteria.
This initiative aims to support families and ensure that children receive proper nutrition even when school is not in session. By offering free meals, the West Bolivar Consolidated School District hopes to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by families during the summer months.
Katie Armstrong, a representative from the Child Nutrition program, is available to provide further information and answer any questions. She can be reached at 662-719-4602.
