SHAW, Miss. — The West Bolivar Consolidated School District is mourning the death of J.W. Robinson, the academic officer at Shaw High School, district officials announced.
In a statement shared publicly, the district extended condolences to Robinson’s wife, Mariesha Robinson, as well as his family, friends and colleagues.
Robinson served as academic officer at Shaw High School, where district leaders said he was committed to supporting students, teachers and the broader school community. Officials described him as a steady presence whose leadership and focus on academic achievement left a lasting impact on the campus.
“The lives he touched through his work and service stand as a testament to his dedication and heart for education,” the district said in its statement.
District officials said Robinson’s legacy will continue within Shaw High School and across the West Bolivar Consolidated School District through the students and educators he influenced.
No additional details about his death were immediately released.
