GOODMAN, Miss. — A woman was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 near Goodman, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 8:38 p.m. on Sept. 9, when a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 52-year-old Gayla Jones of Goodman was traveling east on Highway 14. Her vehicle collided with a westbound 2015 Jeep Compass driven by 20-year-old Reggie Carter of Kosciusko.
Jones died at the scene from her injuries, troopers said. Carter sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
