YAZOO CITY, Miss.–Police in Yazoo City are looking into how a three-year-old was able to shoot themselves Saturday morning.
The child was shot in the head.
Police Chief Terry Gann did not provide much information on the shooting, like an address or any of the circumstances surrounding the shooting, other than the child was apparently playing with the gun when it went off.
He said the child was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment. The child’s name, sex and condition have not been publicly discussed.
