CANTON, MS (Ben Caxton) — After closing its US plants on March 20th, Nissan has furloughed most of its hourly manufacturing employees including about 10,000 workers at two plants in Tennessee plus Canton, Mississippi. The company told the furloughed employees to apply for unemployment through at least April 27, when Nissan plans to restart production.
