On Thursday, August 31, 2023, agents from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department, and the ATF executed a search warrant near Washington Rd. in Cleveland. The joint operation resulted in an arrest and the seizure of various illegal substances, including approximately 11.17 grams of Fentanyl, 0.6 grams of Crack Cocaine, 12 dosage units of Percocet, 2.5 grams of Methamphetamine, and 2.5 grams of powder Cocaine. Two firearms were also recovered during the raid.
Authorities are exploring potential connections between this operation and a recent overdose death investigation.
The individual taken into custody during the operation is Bryant Hester, a 54-year-old male. Hester is facing multiple charges, including possession of Methamphetamine with intent, possession of Crack Cocaine, possession of Powder Cocaine, possession of Fentanyl with intent, and two counts of firearm possession by a felon.
He is currently being held in the Bolivar County Jail.
