Tragedy struck on Friarspoint Road near State Highway 1 yesterday evening as a fatal motor vehicle collision occurred, leaving one person dead and several others injured. The Coahoma County Fire Department’s Engine 1 and Pafford EMS units promptly responded to the call.
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders were met with a chaotic wreckage scene and multiple individuals needing urgent medical attention. The collision resulted in significant injuries, and sadly, one person succumbed to their injuries on-site. The severity of the incident became apparent as local EMS units swiftly transported multiple injured individuals to a nearby Trauma Center, ensuring they received the necessary medical care.
The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the collision’s circumstances.
