TUPELO, MS (Ben Caxton) — A police chase has led to an officer shooting a man who ran onto the campus of a childrenâs group home in Mississippi. The weekend chase started in Union County and ended in Tupelo where police said the adult male suspect ran from his vehicle and onto the property of the Tupelo Childrenâs Mansion. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation into the shooting; a firearm was recovered from the scene and the suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment. No officers or citizens were physically injured.
