CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — The City of Clarksdale has declared a local emergency and canceled all public meetings, zoning and code enforcement meetings and events where over 10 people will be present in an effort to prevent the spread of the Chinese coronavirus. Parks and recreation facilities are subject to the same crowd restrictions, and Municipal Court cases are postponed for the next 25 days unless deemed an emergency. The cityâs order will be reevaluated on or before April 13th.
