Clarksdale, MS – Clarksdale Police uncovered a major theft operation, resulting in the recovery of thousands of dollars in stolen goods. A search warrant executed in the Oakhurst area of the city led to the discovery of several stolen items, including TVs, air conditioning window units, iPads, PlayStations, and other electronics.
During the search, officers also discovered a large quantity of clothing with security sensors still attached, which had been shoplifted or embezzled from a local store. The exact value of the recovered clothing is still being determined by detectives.
Two individuals, Dwight Cockheran and Jereece Semster, have been arrested and charged with receiving stolen property in connection with the theft operation.
For individuals who believe their home may have been a victim of a recent burglary, the Clarksdale Police Department reminds them to have a serial number in hand and contact the criminal investigations division. The department cannot release any items without a serial number match.
