CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — The city of Clarksdale will provide four free face masks to every household in the city. In making the announcement, Mayor Chuck Espy hopes to have the masks mailed by Monday, and while there is no single strategy to ending COVID19 but social distancing, hand washing, and wearing masks have been identified as important best practices. Offering personal protective equipment is an effort to still slow the spread of coronavirus and safely reopen the community as scientists work on a vaccine.
