CLEVELAND, Miss.–It’s unclear from Cleveland Police if there were actually any specific threats made against a shopping center there this weekend. But, they did acknowledge that there was talk of suspicious activity.
Police did not name the shopping center, but said they took the talk seriously enough to review video from inside the stores.
“After reviewing video inside the business, the Cleveland Police Department would like to reassure the public that shopping at our local business is safe and should have no worries,” said police in a news release.
“While the incidents being posted about on social media had a safe outcome, the Cleveland Police Department would like to remind everyone that if they feel they are being harassed or targeted by anyone while shopping, contact the Cleveland Police Department at (662) 843-3611 or by dialing 911. We take every reported incident as a serious matter and will gladly assist in any way!”
