THE DELTA (Ben Caxton) — Wendyâs is offering its customers a Friday freebie during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company tweeted yesterday it will give out free four-piece crispy and spicy chicken nuggets at participating drive-thrus this Friday. After stay-at-home orders went into effect, Wendyâs sales dropped 20% for the week ending March 22nd and the fast-food giant temporarily closed hundreds of locations worldwide. Other drive-through restaurants have also given away free food during the pandemic. Taco Bell has been giving away free tacos on Tuesdays with no purchase necessary.
