JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — The number of deaths associated with the Wuhan coronavirus in Mississippi reached 169 yesterday. Arkansas confirms 1923 cases and 42 deaths, and Tennessee has 7238 cases with 152 deaths with Shelby County accounts making up about 25 percent of the stateâs cases. The virus causes mild or moderate symptoms like fever and cough which clear up in two to three weeks but occasionally also milder cases of pneumonia develop that sometimes require hospitalization. The risk of death is greater for older adults, African-Americans, and especially people already ill battling other health issues.[sc name=”twitterfollow”]
