JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — On Monday the number of presumed positive coronavirus cases in Mississippi jumped to 847 with 16 deaths. Washington County reported 16 confirmed cases, while Bolivar and Coahoma had 20. In Leflore County, there were 18 reported cases with 1 death, and Sunflower County also reported 1 death our of 11 confirmed cases. For most people coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms like fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks but also milder cases of pneumonia sometimes requiring hospitalization.
