The Delta State University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) held its fall 2023 initiation in Sillers Chapel recently, inducting seven new members. ODK is a national leadership honor society that recognizes and encourages collaboration among collegiate leaders. Delta State’s Circle of ODK was founded in 1967 and formally installed on May 23, 1971.
Initiate Michelle Fisackerly said, “I am honored to be inducted into ODK. Embracing the initiation into such a prestigious honor society, as a graduate student and high school teacher means embracing the responsibility to lead by example, both inside and outside the classroom. As a high school teacher, I am constantly pushing my kids to be their best and never settle for mediocrity. I am proud to share this honor with them and show them that life-long learning is essential for growth in any area they want to pursue.”
