JACKSON, Miss.–Entergy Mississippi’s CEO says rates will remain stable after a vote this week by the Mississippi Public Service Commission.
While your bill may go up because of increased usage over the summer months, the rates that customers pay actually decreased by .04 cents per 1,000 kilowatt hours.
The company is expanding some services and is building a new power plant in Greenville. That is not expected to affect rates.
“We’re thankful for the Mississippi Public Service Commission’s continued oversight and support of our efforts to keep rates affordable while making critical reliability improvements and addressing increased challenges caused by vegetation,” said Haley Fisackerly, Entergy Mississippi president and CEO, in a prepared statement.
Fisackerly also said that you can visit the company’s website to find ways to save with some rebates and tips to use less energy.
