All candidates were scheduled to debate before votes were taken among Clarksdale High School students for the school board position in March. Community members were to vote at a public forum this month but schools and public meetings have been suspended in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Rev. Kenneth Gooden will continue to serve on the school board and James Hicks will continue on the board of CPU until new appointments are made, which could take up to six months.
