Multiple fire units responded to a commercial fire at 704 Highway 1 North. Rescue 2, Ladder 3, Rescue 7, Engine 5, and Command 1 were dispatched to the scene, all rushing to control the raging inferno.
Heavy black smoke blanketed the area as the emergency responders raced to the location, presenting a daunting challenge for the firefighters en route. Despite the adverse conditions, they pressed on, determined to confront the rapidly spreading blaze.
Upon arrival at the scene, the situation was dire. A tin storage structure at the rear of a brick building was engulfed in flames, with smoke billowing through the roof.
Rescue 2’s team quickly initiated fire suppression efforts, combating the flames head-on. Simultaneously, Rescue 7 secured a crucial water supply for firefighting. Ladder 3 was connected to this water supply, and Engine 5 arrived to provide much-needed manpower to augment the response.
With the water supply established, the firefighters set up an aerial ladder to gain an elevated vantage point and aid in extinguishing the blaze. Despite the challenges, their coordinated efforts began to yield progress in controlling the raging fire.
The intense firefighting efforts paid off after several minutes, with the fire under control.
While the immediate danger subsided, the investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing. Authorities have requested the expertise of the Fire Marshal, who arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough examination.
