Greenville Man Wanted for Aggravated Assault

Officers with the Greenville Police Department responded to the 200 block of East Cotton Drive for a shot person. When officers arrived, they made contact with 24-year-old Gervante Johnson, who was shot in the lower abdomen. The suspect in this shooting was identified as the victim’s brother, 19-year- old Santwan Johnson.

Witnesses say that both the victim and suspect were engaged in a verbal altercation when Santwan pulled out a firearm and shot Gervante, striking him in the lower abdomen then fled the scene. Santwan may be driving a blue Toyota Camry. 

Santwan Johnson is described as a black male, 5’7”, 125lbs. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
