The Greenville Police Department and Walmart #182 sponsored 12 children with a little Christmas shopping spree for their Annual “Shop With A Cop” at WalMart. Representatives say the purpose of this community outreach event is to bring a little joy to the heart of a child who may not have had a good year.
Police Chief Marcus Turner says, “We’d like to extend our love and service to the community,and lead the way in showing them that we do care; one act at a time. Our men and women in blue, as well as Walmart #182 love our City and want to show it every opportunity we can, especially during Christmas.”
The GPD and WalMart partnership sponsors “Shop With A Cop” every December and is one of many community outreach events done during the year.
