Greenville Police Urge Caution as Grain Trucks Cause Traffic Troubles

SHARE NOW

Drivers in Greenville are being asked to be careful on Highway 82 as they enter the city. The Greenville Police Department says that big trucks carrying grain are causing traffic problems near Harbor Front Road during harvest time. Drivers are told to be patient and watch out for these trucks.

Remember, big trucks can’t go on Tampa and Bayou Drive – if they do, drivers might get a ticket. And if you’re planning to drive west on Highway 82, it’s a good idea to avoid it for now.

For those big grain trucks, here’s an easier route to take:

•Go south on Highway 1 to Highway 454,

•Drive west on Highway 454 to Highway 82 West,

•Turn North on Highway 82 and use the inside lane to wait.
