The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) has allocated funds for the Emergency Road and Bridge Fund Projects (ERBR), benefiting crucial infrastructure developments.
From a total of 40 selected projects, the City of Greenville has received $2,139,609.00 for reconstructing the North Theobald Street bridge connecting to NuFarm. This funding constitutes over 2.02% of the overall project funds.
Mayor Errick Simmons highlighted Greenville’s economic growth, citing achievements like new businesses such as Chick-fil-A and Jacks, along with ongoing projects like the airport and Greenville Aerospace Maintenance, expected to generate around 200 jobs.
Mayor Simmons acknowledged the collaborative efforts of local and state leaders, emphasizing their role in driving Greenville’s progress.
