SOUTHAVEN, Miss.–Southaven Police Chief Macon Moore is retiring after four years with that department. You might remember Moore from when he started his law enforcement career as a patrolman in Greenville in the 90s.
According to a Facebook post from the department, Moore’s last day is January 30.
From Greenville, Moore moved to DeSoto County, where he served as a patrol officer in Southaven, then eventually as chief deputy for the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Dept., before being appointed police chief in one of north Mississippi’s fastest-growing cities in 2019.
