Alligator, MS – Authorities in Bolivar County are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased individual in a creek on Alligator-Rena Laura Rd. The Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing 911 call on June 7 at approximately 7:11 p.m., reporting a body in the water over the side of a bridge.
Upon the arrival of deputies at the scene, they located the body of a black male in his late fifties to early sixties, positioned over the side of the bridge within the middle of the creek. Preliminary examinations revealed that the victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. However, his identity has not yet been established.
The Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office has initiated an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
