CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — The lineup for this yearâs King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, Arkansas was announced yesterday. Grammy nominee Billy Branch and Grammy winner Bobby Rush will headline on Thursday, October 8th; Mavis Staples plays Friday, October 9th and Allman-Betts will headline the main stage on Saturday, October 10th. Paul Thorn will appear for the tenth straight year, performing Friday night before Mavis Staples while the Kentucky Headhunters and the Fabulous Thunderbirds will play on Thursday night.
