JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — As of the weekend Mississippi is reporting 13,252 coronavirus cases. Over half of the stateâs 625 deaths have been reported at long term care facilities. The number of COVID-19 patients reported by state hospitals was 367, a one-day drop of 66. Itâs the first time in weeks that the number of those hospitalized has been below 400. Tennessee confirms 20,145 cases and 336 deaths while Arkansasâ total is 5922 with 116 deaths. Most people recover from COVID-19, but patients with other health problems and the elderly are particularly susceptible.
