Man Dies from Tuesday Elzy Road Shooting Injuries

LEFLORE COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — Tuesday afternoon’s shooting on Elzy Road in Leflore County claimed a life. Authorities say now that one of the two men hospitalized in the incident and not previously identified, 20-year-old Doniel Nellum III, was pronounced dead at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He passed away shortly after 5:00 PM on the day of the shooting from his injuries, a single gunshot wound. The investigation remains ongoing and so far no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
