Manhunt Underway for Suspect Accused of Shooting and Injuring a State Trooper

JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) has launched an investigation into an officer-involved shooting that took place in Bolivar County. The incident involved a Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper who sustained a non-life-threatening injury to the arm after being shot by the suspect.

According to reports, the shooting occurred on US 61 in Bolivar County. The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Stanley Self Jr. and is believed to be on foot, wearing a white t-shirt and khaki pants. He is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is urged to call 911 if they see him or come into contact with him.
