The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) has launched a thorough investigation into an officer-involved shooting incident that unfolded on September 3rd, 2023, at a Walgreens store on Sunset Drive in Grenada.
MBI was alerted to the situation at approximately 5:00 p.m. when reports of a hostage situation reached their offices. In response to this critical emergency, the Mississippi Highway Patrol SWAT Team members were swiftly dispatched to the scene.
The individual at the center of the incident sustained fatal injuries during the operation.
