HERNANDO, Miss.–A Memphis man was convicted Monday of possessing child pornography in DeSoto County.
Police were able to track down Antonio Alston, Jr., 21, thanks to tips from the National Centers for Missing and Exploited Children. Prosecutors said there were dozens of indications that activity of that sort was happening on Alston’s computer.
Prosecutors believe Alston tried to sell the images he possessed to people on Reddit.
Some of those images contained depictions of children as young as 7 engaged in sexual activity.
Alston was investigated for similar activity by police in Memphis, but was not prosecuted.
His sentencing is set for Tuesday.
