The department has received multiple reports of clients receiving suspicious phone calls, during which they are asked to disclose their EBT card details and instructed to call a specific number, 1-866-460-0944.
Officials from the Mississippi Department of Human Services emphasize that these calls are fraudulent and not legitimate attempts from their customer service center. This recent scam has prompted a call to action, urging SNAP recipients to exercise caution and refrain from providing any personal or financial information over the phone.
