In what officials are calling a “major disturbance” at the Correctional Institution in Greene County 40-year-old Terrandance Dobbins, who was serving a life sentence for a 1998 homicide conviction in Adams County and eight years for aggravated assault in Sunflower County was killed, and two other inmates were injured. The result was an immediate lockdown at three state-run, and three private-run prisons along with fifteen regional jails. An MDOC spokesperson said the lockdown will continue indefinitely.
