Mississippi Valley State University has recently announced that it will provide financial assistance to students enrolling in Summer I 2023 classes through the Summer Tuition Grant. The grant, which is funded by the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) authorized by the American Rescue Plan, will cover tuition and mandatory fees for up to six credit hours in any eligible course for financial aid.
The program is exclusively available for Summer I, and free tuition for Summer II classes will not be provided. The grant is open to a variety of students, including current MVSU students, graduate and undergraduate students (including high school graduates who are entering college), and transfer students.
The Mississippi Valley State University aims to provide students with more opportunities for academic growth, especially during the summer semester. By offering the Summer Tuition Grant, the university hopes to alleviate the financial burden on students and ensure that they can continue their education without facing any financial difficulties.
