When Thompson signed with Dan Mullen out of high school in the Class of 2017 he was the highest-rated quarterback to ever sign with the Bulldogs but only started three games during three years in Starkville as Mississippi State went through three different head football coaches. State still has four scholarship quarterbacks on the roster, and Thompson leaves Mississippi State with two years of eligibility remaining. As a graduate transfer, he will be able to play immediately. â [sc name=”twitterfollow”]
