ROSEDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A new park project in Bolivar County got a groundbreaking ceremony last week at the Bolivar County Courthouse in Rosedale. Terrene Landing will be the site of a new park county supervisors hope will keep the county connected to the Mississippi River. The $2.2 million dollar project will transform what is now the county’s only boat landing actually on the banks of the River into a multi-use park. The work will include raising the surrounding land by ten to fifteen feet to get the park above the river’s flood stage, doubling the length of the existing boat ramp to 24-feet, and adding a new entrance road, parking lot, pavilion and walking trail.
