Dillon Johnson and Trey Benson who play football for the St. Joseph Catholic School football team made things official in time for the Holiday. The running back duo will be heading in different directions next year as Johnson will be heading to Starkville to join the Bulldogs while Benson goes west to Eugene, Oregon to play for the Ducks. While at St. Joseph’s Benson posted consecutive 1,800-yard, 22-plus touchdown seasons, displaying a level of production that piqued the interest of programs around the country, eventually turning down offers from Florida State and Penn State among others. Dillon who says his first love is basketball last season rushed for 1,665 and gained 957 more receiving for 20 total touchdowns. [sc name=”twitterfollow”]
