July 26, 2023, around 10 p.m. in Greenville, authorities responded to the scene of an armed robbery incident.
Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Highway 82 East. Upon their arrival, officers engaged with the victim. According to the victim, two male suspects forcibly entered his room, brandishing firearms.
The victim reported to law enforcement that he had been robbed of an undisclosed sum of money and a firearm during the incident.
One of the suspects was identified as 20-year-old Deon Edwards, a resident of Greenville.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Deon Edwards. This week, Edwards was apprehended and taken into custody on charges of Robbery. He is in custody at the WCRCF (Washington County Regional Correctional Facility), awaiting his initial appearance.
