Suspects Arrested in Connection to Coahoma County Shooting

JONESTOWN, Miss — Three individuals have been arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault after a shooting that occurred on April 29th, 2022 in Jonestown, Mississippi. According to Coahoma County Sheriff’s Investigators, they received calls of someone being shot at approximately 9:20 pm and upon arriving at the scene, they found Elliot Stokes, an adult male who had been shot multiple times.

Stokes was rushed to Region One Trauma Center in Memphis, Tennessee, where he received treatment for his injuries. The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Investigators later identified the suspects involved in the shooting and arrested the following individuals:

-Kesean Maddor, an 18-year-old from Jonestown, MS. Maddor was charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and was released on bond for $85,000.

-Ken’Taruvious Gibson, a 26-year-old from Jonestown, MS. Gibson was also charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and remains in custody on a bond of $100,000.

-Deangelo Bryant, a 27-year-old from Jonestown, MS. Bryant was charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and remains in custody on a bond of $100,000.

The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for Antowne Gibson, who is wanted for Aggravated Assault and remains at large. The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact them immediately.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and no further information has been released at this time.
