ROSEDALE, Miss. — The Friends of Rosedale organization is presenting a book signing and discussion with renowned author Devery Anderson, author of the critically acclaimed book, “Emmitt Till, the Murder that Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement.”
The event, taking place on Wednesday, April 26th at the historic Bolivar County Courthouse in Rosedale, is a rare opportunity for Delta residents to engage with the mind behind this groundbreaking work, gain insights into his research and writing process, and hear firsthand about his experiences bringing this important story to life.
Anderson’s book has garnered widespread critical acclaim for its powerful and compelling narrative about the life and legacy of Emmett Till, whose brutal murder in 1955 served as a catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement.
Attendees of the event will also have the opportunity to view the Emmett Till traveling exhibit, on display at the courthouse from April 24th to 28th, from 8 am to 5 pm daily.
