In the early hours of Saturday, May 6, 2023, the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting a shooting at a nightclub in Winstonville. According to reports, someone was shot and transported to Bolivar Medical Center by private vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that two individuals had been shot.
The two victims have been identified as Dennis Coleman, 42, of Mound Bayou, MS, and Tytrice Thomas, 32, of Cleveland, MS. Both individuals sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
