Two Oxford Men Arrested for Having Too Much THC in their Products

OXFORD, Miss.–Two men from Oxford may have been one toke over the line, in the figurative sense. The men own a cannabis dispensary and were busted by state authorities for having too much THC in some of their products.
THC is the chemical in cannabis that gets you high.
Tony Barragan, 48, and James Funk, 37, were arrested this week by agents with the Mississippi Alcoholic Beverages Control Enforcement, commonly known as the ABC.
They are both charged with violating the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act, which bans products that have a concentration of .higher than .03 percent.
The state legislature talked extensively about the state’s medical marijuana laws during this year’s session, including penalties for store owners who violate the limits.
