CLEVELAND, Miss.–Some Delta cities are having to play catchup after last week’s winter weather and some extended time with ice on roads and highways made normal functionality difficult.
The Greenville Mid Delta Airport is back open after it had to close late last week because of the weather, says Mayor Errick Sommins. The city also has a regular council meeting scheduled for today.
In Cleveland the city has announced that trash pickup resumes today after being suspended for most of last week because of unsafe roads and streets. According to a city Facebook post ADSI will pick up trash in bags and other cans in addition to the regular trash receptacles. They have a lot of garbage to pick up.
Cleveland was also dealing with a major water leak on North Bayou that has since been fixed.
