LITTLE ROCK, AR (Ben Caxton) — 33 people have died in Arkansas from the flu this season, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate 8200 flu deaths and 54 pediatric deaths have occurred this season. 120 Arkansans residents died during the 2018-2019 flu season. Flu activity in Arkansas and 38 other states remains at a widespread and high level of intensity according to the CDC. In the last four months 13,200 positive influenza tests have been reported to the Arkansas Department of Health by health care providers with over 1900 positive tests this week alone.
