TUNICA, Miss.–A husband and wife were found dead in what the Tunica County Sheriff’s Dept. is calling a murder-suicide.
That happened just before 5 Sunday afternoon at the couple’s Jacks Ave. home in Tunica.
Tunica County Deputy Coroner Dennis Washington identified them as 52-year-old Lonnie Nelson, Jr. and 53-year-old Vickie Lane Nelson. Each died of a single gunshot wound, said the coroner.
Two guns were found on the scene and were sent to the State Crime Lab as were the bodies. An autopsy will be conducted on the couple.
The sheriff’s department is asking anyone with information that could help with the investigation to give them a call.
