JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi House Speaker Jason White has released the results of a statewide poll examining issues affecting Mississippi voters.

The poll was conducted by Cygnal, a national polling firm, according to a news release from White’s office.

The findings identify inflation, the cost of living and public safety as top concerns among voters. The poll also found support for the work of the Property Tax Select Committee as lawmakers consider eliminating the homestead property tax.

White said the Mississippi House is using data to guide its efforts to address issues facing the state.

“The House has vision and is looking to move Mississippi forward with informed, verifiable data,” White said.
